Home Carer, St Andrews

Home Carer - St Andrews - Ref: PA17/StA

£12.20 to £15.00 per hour.

 

As a Home Carer you will provide home care support for our service users based in and around the St  Andrews area. You will either work an early shift (7am - 2pm) or a late (4pm - 10pm) and are expected to work at a minimum 1 weekend a month. Unlike many other care companies we pay you for the whole shift, not just the contact time.  We focus more on finding the right person so if that means you are only available to work at the weekend, 1 shift per week or even only on a bank worker basis we would love to hear from you. 

 

In your role you will be expected to assist your service user with personal care as well as helping around the house with general housework and preparing light meals. Another important part of your role is to provide companionship for your service user. You will become someone that will encourage your service user to enter into conversation and listen to what they have to say. Previous experience in a home care role would be appreciated as would an SVQ 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, however full training will be given.  For more information or to apply please follow the instruction as listed at the bottom of the page.  

Cleaning the Windows

Cleaning / Home help Assistant - Ref: Ca16/StA

£11.54 per hour.

 

As a Cleaning/Home help Assistant you will you will complete general household tasks within private homes such as sanitising surfaces, polishing, vacuuming, changing linen, light meal prep, outings and much more.  Your role will vary from job to job as our services are tailor made to each service users requirements. Like our home carer roles we are focused more on finding the right person rather than pushing minimum hours - this means that we work with our staff to build a schedule that works for them and their family.  Getting a perfect work/life balance or offering hours around existing employment. We do try as quickly as possible to build a regular schedule with the availability you give to allow you to build a real rapport with the service user and really understand their needs and requirements. Most cleaning/home help services are delivered between Monday and Friday and as we said you can work from 2 hour up to 30 hours weekly or more - its all about that perfect fit.  This is a permanent contract so you would be required to work during school holidays.
